Ed Behm

Ed BehmEd Behm has 34 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, 33 of them with Occidental Oil and Gas.  Ed is currently Director of Planning and Evaluation for Permian Resources, part of Oxy USA Inc. a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corporation.  Ed has spent his career mostly in managing mature oil field redevelopment and improved oil recovery applications in the US and overseas.  In addition to various domestic and international operating area assignments, he was a director in the Oxy corporate financial planning and analysis department, director of reserves for Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation, and an assistant to executive worldwide operations management.   

Ed received his BS in petroleum engineering from The University of Tulsa (TU) in 1980 and currently serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the TU McDougall Scholl of Petroleum Engineering.  He also received his executive MBA from University of Michigan in 1997. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and was a director of the Permian Basin and San Joaquin Valley SPE sections. He has been a member of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association and was General Chairman of the 1998 Permian Basin Oil and Gas Recovery Conference (PBOGRC).  Ed has also served on the executive committee of California Independent Petroleum Association (CIPA) and as a Lobbyist in Alaska in 1995.  Ed is a professional petroleum engineer registered in the state of California since 1984.
